on august 1967 the full sized steel sculpture of this model by pablo picasso was unveiled to the delight and horror to the residents of chicago.even though he never even visited the city mr. picasso gave his design and model to chicago as a gift . say what you may about his art, but, i just have to admire someone who gives nice handmade gifts to strangers.
