highly prized by croissant connoisseurs, the end nibs are the tastiest part of these flaky delicacies. alas, they lack the necessary absorptive qualities so vital in french toast making. of course, i make the ultimate sacrifice and eat the small crispy nibs rather than let them go to waste. any left over crumbs are are given to my bird friends in the garden.
