i dip a small scoop of my favorite ice cream using my spiffy ice cream scoop. a sturdy serving spoon will do the job just as well, but, all other kitchen implements, no matter how high tech should be rejected for this delicate task. of course a flavorful sorbet, a creamy gelato or a tasty sherbet can step in for the ice cream a moments notice.
