| monkey's tibetan vocabulary bardo -
pronounced bar-do (like car-o) means the state between two events. this
word is often misunderstood in the
west, so, let me give you an example. let's stay you walk into the kitchen,
fix breakfast than sit down to enjoy it. from the time you walk into
the kitchen until the time you sit down, you are in the "bardo of fixing
breakfast" (between walking in the kitchen and sitting down to eat).
just like from the time you sit down until the time you swallow your
last
sip of
tea,
you
would
be
in
the
bardo
of eating
breakfast.
bardo's can be big (bardo of life) or small (bardo between heart beats).
you'd be surprised how many you can identify now that you know what one
is!
