fred m. rogers
20 march 1928 to 27 february 2003
let's take a moment to remember
fred
rogers
he is mr. rogers
to zillions of people who visitied his neighborhood every day. i am
sad and i know i will miss him.
i believe other feel the same way. i am, however, comforted to know
that he will live
on video tape for future generations and i think that's as close as
any of us will ever get to immortality.
the nice people at npr
have a lovely tribute to mr. rogers. you may just want to listen to
it. you might also want to listen to a couple of interviews
with mr.
rogers. or you might want to listen to this interesting
story that features mr. rogers talking about being a good neighbor
on this american life. (really, this is not to be missed.)
i am sure many other wonderful stories and interviews. i know that i
am not alone and others have created thoughtful tributes to the life
of our gentle friend, but, i just can't list them all. i think our own
personal tibutes to mr. rogers are the most meaningful. for instance,
today, i am telling the people that i love that i am so glad to have
them in my life. maybe you can start your own tribute?
you can go back to my main page when you
are ready, if you like.
i hope the nice people at associated press don't mind that i borrowed
their photo. it really is a nice picture of him.
