i love visiting the beautiful cemeteries of new orleans!
because of the high water level here, the dear departed are not buried in the ground. instead they are placed in distinctive tombs above the ground. this makes the cemeteries here look less like creepy old graveyards in old horror movies and more like apartment complexes (but without the pool, fitness room or club house).
