Cranberry, cranberry, you're not very sweet
In fact you're so tart raw
'Twill knock you off your feet.

Cranberries grow so oddly in a bog
But everyone must love them
Since they scoop them in the fog.

Cranberry relish, cranberry tart
Trying to juice them is not very smart.
Cranberry jelly, cranberry pie
They don't have much juice to squirt in your eye.

If you want to taste them, at Holidays or not
They're great with your baking
Or cooked in a pot.

We mortals endeavor, cranberries to cook
Small ovals, red brightness
Invite closer look.

It's true they are glossy
And some say divine.
When heavily sweetened or made into wine.
